Chiang Mai has a quiet tame but still very vibrant Nightlife. There are many places to enjoy yourself in a farang venue or a mostly Thai beer bar. People in Chiang Mai like to go out for a drink and party and you'll often see them coming home anywhere from midnight to 6am.
The thai/Chiang Mai night scene has been broken down into categories rather than area this is because thai people themselves don't see much difference in where the disco pub beer bar are they mostly just care if there is a band that plays or what kind of music the DJ spins
All places you can expect them to close at 12am a few other places open later than that but many of them are open until 2am and others are open almost till everyone starts to leave which is usually 4am.
